Have you ever heard of or tried one of these? Its a "Head Massager"! THEY ARE AMAZING, amazing I say!!!! Ha ha they are only like 5 dollars, but I would pay like 20 dollars for one!

I love Ina!

Okay I LOVE cooking. I could cook alllll day long!! Its just so fun! Pretty much the only channel on TV I watch is Food Network ha ha! But my favorite cook of all is Ina Garten the "Barefoot Contessa" I love her! She seems so sweet!

I got her cookbook "Back to Basics" for Christmas, and I can't wait to attempt some of her recipes! I love looking at the at the pictures too!

Lovely lavender

The "White Oak Lavender Farm" in Harrisonburg, VA is the most charming little farm ever! With rows and rows and rows and lavender, I was in heaven!!

Movie and new book!

Have You seen the movie "Despicable Me"? If not march right down to Blockbuster and get it!!!! It is so good/funny/cute! I have seen it twice and I would watch it like 10 more times! Ha! I really am not as obsessed with it as I sound, but I couldn't think of any thing else to post about! He he!

Also, I just started the book "The Hiding Place"! Have you ever read it? Did you like it? Please let me know your thoughts on the book and Corrie Ten Boom!!

Pictures!

Here are some pictures of my "gator bars"! Also, I forgot to tell y'all the story of why they are called GATOR bars! My mom, dad, and 2 oldest siblings were living in Gainesville, Florida at the time they heard of this recipe. And the recipe was written on a Florida gator recipe card! so for the past 20+ years my family has been calling them gator bars! ha ha!

Gator bars

                        These bars are sooo yummy and sooo easy!!!

                                            Gator bars

1 egg

1 stick of butter (softened)

1 cup of brown sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup chopped pecans 

(I like to add about a 1/4 cup chocolate chips sometimes)

preheat oven to 350 degrees.

cream together egg, butter, and brown sugar. 

Mix in salt, flour, baking powder and pecans 

Put in greased 8x8 pan and bake for 25 minutes

So I have finally decided to join the world of blogging! I plan to post things like recipes, pictures, travels and really anything else I can think of! I am going to try to post as often as I can but that might not be very much. Ha ha! If you have any tips on blogging, I would love to hear them!
